Hysen S. Dizdari is a researcher of history and philately, collector and author of five books on Albanian philately. He has over 30 years of experience in collecting postage stamps from Albania and several other countries. His studies in the field of philately have been closely intertwined with the knowledge and study of the historical sciences of archeology and biology.

As a researcher and a good connoisseur of the science of Albanian philately and natural sciences, he has managed to weave together the science of philately with the science of biology in two of his books, with the sole purpose of transmitting knowledge to new generations on the great wealth that Albania has in the marine and terrestrial flora and fauna, as well as their education on the protection from the pests of this wealth: the Albanian marine and terrestrial flora and fauna.

Another direction of his academic work are studies in the field of philatelic and historical sciences, especially in the study and recognition of the patriotic figures of the Albanian nation presented through the Albanian postage stamp, starting from Skënderbeu to Mother Teresa.
